KNOWN SOURCE is a small, local nursery dedicated Texas hardy plants, rare edible species and top quality gardening products
Located in Taylor, Texas, our nursery is the headquarters for KNOWN SOURCE brand Veganic Fertilizer.

TEXAS TOUGH

KNOWN SOURCE selects plants and seeds for their abilities to withstand our Central Texas climate. Our plants include heat- and drought-tolerant natives and well-adapted Southern varieties.

We also carry a full range of naturally-derived, environmentally safe soil amendments and  agricultural products, as well as top quality gardening tools.

Unlike the large corporate chain stores, we purchase most of our plants and trees directly from Texas growers. Texas grown plants adjust better to our home gardens than plants grown in different states with different climates. 

RARE EDIBLE SPECIES

KNOWN SOURCE carries a diverse range of fruit and nut trees, fruiting vines and shrubs, culinary and medicinal herbs, and seasonal vegetable plants. We seek out unusual cultivars and heirloom varieties.

If you want plants that work well in our soil and can take the Texas heat, visit KNOWN SOURCE and look at our collection of Texas native species. We stock xeric, butterfly and hummingbird plants.
